"For Charin
Yuthasastrkosol, dancing is like breathing. She must dance to live.
She dances to show her love
for her native Thailand and for her adopted country.
She dances to show her love of
life and of people. "I am very happy," she says countless
times.
Age means nothing to her. It
is only a blip on the calendar. She didn’t discover this amazing
talent for dance until she was 47 - an age when most dancers are
considering retirement. Once she discovered the elixir of her life, she
was caught forevermore by the sheer joy of it.
No trip to Charin’s native
Thailand would be complete without a command performance for the Royal
Family. The Thais embrace her and show their pride in her achievements.
She is hailed in the United States where her concerts are always for a
worthy cause.
At 72, Charin has no thought
of retiring. Her audiences clamor for more. Not only for her artistic
achievements but because she exudes a love of life - a happiness that
she wishes for all people and that she hopes she contributes to.
So raise the curtain. On with
the dance. Bravo Charin!"
